TIL that after the Malayan Communist Party lost the guerilla war, a bunch of them decamped to Hunan, China, from which they broadcast revolutionary radio ‘Suara Revolusi Malaya’ (voice of the Malayan revolution).

They did so until the 80s, when China ‘opened up’ and Lee Kuan Yew requested that Deng shut down that station. Shortly after, they stopped broadcasting.

This book is a collection of transcripts of those broadcasts over the years

When I was in college, I wrote about the female soldiers of the guerilla war. It was my first paper published of any sort
