This 1981 paper described an online help browser and authoring environment for TI or MIT Lisp Machines. The paper is interesting as it also briefly reviewed the state of online help systems at the time.

@amoroso the TI Lisp Machine appeared a few years later. 1984 or so.
@symbolics Interesting, thanks. I was unsure as the author's affiliation was TI.
@amoroso #lisp TI had some R&D in AI then. Thomas Kehler worked there and in 1982 he went to Intelligenetics/Intellicorp (where he also became CEO) and where they developed KEE, a frame based development system. See also the use of "Frames" in "Helpme". Ti bought 25% of Lisp Machines, Inc. in 1983, and in 1984 they offered their own Lisp Machine system based on LMI tech. 1991 (or so) they abruptly left this AI/Lisp business...
@symbolics Ooh, I only now realize the author of the paper is Tom Kehler of Intellicorp. We even had him as a guest in one of the Medley meetings to talk about KEE.
@amoroso that's cool, though the software sources seem to be lost. TI later had a documentation system on their Lisp Machine, I wonder if it was influenced by the Helpme research?
@symbolics Did the MIT Lisp Machine also have a documentation system? That may have been another influence.
