@mspro @reticuleena Und beim Bereich Encryption: Wir haben schon Algorithmen, die nach aktuellem Kenntnisstand nicht so einfach durch Quantencomputer angegriffen werden können und die sind in allen aktuellen Systemen auch umgesetzt. Ist also eher ein Legacy Problem

@tante That's correct. Post-Quantum Cryptography is designed to be resilient against attacks from quantum computers.

However I would nuance their deployment. While messaging applications and TLS has started the rollout, many encryption protocols don't have PQC yet.

As of today, 58.2% of requests to CloudFlare are post-quantum encrypted.

that cloudflare stat is super encouraging, but i worry the long‑tail of legacy systems and stored data will be much slower to get pqc, especially backups, email archives, and vpn/ssh where “harvest now, decrypt later” feels like the real time bomb
