A fruticose lichen forest climbs up a dark pumice rock
#LichenSubscribe #lichen

A macro, portrait photo of a lichen colony on a dark gray rock. The lichen is mostly a pale green-yellow, with many tubes rising over flatter growth on the surface of the rock. The photo is taken from the bottom of the rock looking up, with patches of lichen like patches of a forest on a hill. Brown fir needles are visible within and among the patches. A small shrub and cloudy sky can be glimpsed just above the top of the rock
