The only problem we knew of was a bladder infection that we were treating with antibiotics, and she seemed to be feeling a lot better. And suddenly the day her follow-up appointment had been scheduled at the vet is instead an appointment at the crematorium. How the fuck did this happen.

@stephaniepixie in this case there IS no line. The speed of death and the symptoms that came with it makes me think this was something completely unrelated, like an aneurysm or heart attack :(
@idzie it is a huge loss. They give us so much love and companionship that shouldn't be expected to endure their departure without a lot of help. I hope you can take time off. A big 🫂 for you.
