I certainly hope the EU can put the same sanctions on the US for attacking Venezuela as they did on Russia for attacking Ukraine. This is indefensible.

@Gargron ... This two Situation are not the same and not comparable in that simplicity. So let's simply not do it this way.
I'm not backing up Trump or his reigin by saying this, but simplifying situations like this will certainly only fuel the devide of the extremes in our societies.

American here, and they should absolutely do it - we deserve it.

@Gargron one can hope, but give the absolute dependency that the EU still has towards the US, that will not happen. We need to first:
- bring back Digital sovereignty to EU (Linux and FOSS pretty much only option)
- economic sovereignty (ECB are doing good work on this with digital EUR, etc - but they need more support)
- energy sovereignty: we need to urgently transition to renewables
- military sovereignty (unfortunatly still needed. Not sure how long it will take even with the significant increases in spending that we're seeing now)
foreign interference is always about ensuring compliance not democracy, despite the PR. we're fine with friendly dictatorships and always claim that there was corruption in the electoral system of any democracy that opposes US interests.
but sanctions, like war, should be decided at the UN.

@Gargron This aggression will expose the hypocrisy of all EU nations, they all are colony of USA. They cant oppose USA as they oppose Russia.
