Former U.S. national security aide Philip Gordon argues in The New York Times that President Zelensky should reject the Trump‑brokered peace plan.

Gordon says its central security guarantee, modeled on NATO’s Article 5, is too weak, allowing the U.S. to withhold support unless an attack is “significant, intentional and prolonged,” giving Trump a built‑in excuse to back out.
