My new year's resolution is to not post about politics, especially not the politics of countries that I don't even live in.
It's 10PM. This is my longest lasting resolution ever. Time to break it.

Bloody hell, America. How can healthcare costs go up by over 100% for your poorest people and you're not all rioting on the streets?!
Some of it's what's called "Trump Fatigue," the result of being bombarded with his Executive Orders, and watching his embarrassing faux pas with foreign leaders, and seething in downright rage every time congress and the courts allow him to get away with his dreams of being king. It's a relentless stream of so many things it's impossible to keep up unless you're truly dedicated. 24/7 for not quite 365. Settling in with coffee and daily dread while checking what went on overnight.
@davidnjoku Americans are conditioned to think in terms of rugged individuality and standing on their own two feet, so when they find out their healthcare premiums are going to cost the same as a mortgage many likely think of it as their personal problem rather than a social problem. A lot of average income people probably didn’t think until Obamacare started that they even deserved health insurance. All of that means that rooting isn’t very likely.
