I won't miss it.
I am from Northern Italy, where the skiing culture is strong. I too used to ski, as a child and then a young man, but then I became aware of the environmental devastation brought on by skiing as a mass activity, and swore off it at the end of the 1990s.
By then it was clearly too late to reverse the devastation, but at least I am not part of it anymore.
