There weren't too many #fireworks in my street, I'm not scared of them and even once wanted to be a technician working on pyros (until I learned about the amount of life-changing injuries such techs had sustained and then 2005 happened so it became problematic for a brown lad to be interested in such stuff) - but I couldn't enjoy them this year, the sound of explosions just made me think of Gaza and Ukraine (and probably many other warzones elsewhere we don't get to hear about as much)
