Moved all my domains away from Transip, sadly I now have some DNS issues with some domain names...not all. I assume these have to do with either 1) Me doing something wrong in the not so clear DNS panel of OXXA 2) My failing Pi-Hole 3) DNS propagation not being done yet. Disabled the Pi-hole & waiting for tomorrow might fix nr 2 & 3.

Not a fan of mucking around with DNS. 馃槕

Tips for debugging welcome.

@BjornW What troubles do you have? Often querying the affected domain at different level dns servers provides good intel. Not at my terminal right now, so can't quote literal commands, but checking what name servers the tld nameserver for the domain in question return can tell you if things are switched over yet, and whether glue records have been updated.

The `host` tool is useful. For eg `host sonologic.se ns1.sonologic.net` will try to resolve the domain sonologic.se by asking server ns1.sonologic.net.

But maybe you already knew this :)

It's a pity people think dns is scary, it really isn't all that complicated. Been running my own dns for ages.

Yeah...so I guess it was 2 or 3. Things seem to work now.

@BjornW Use the nslookup utils and host utils DNS Server argument to question the server that you made the changes on to spot if its just propagation. Switch your nameservers to google or one that may not have your cached records to see if things propagate.

@Toasterson thanks for the tips! I had used nslookup, but host is new to me.
