@aleciabatson basically that Mr Rogers was actually a pretty damn good pianist himself and told Costa what he wanted to do with the show. Costa took it because of that, because he wouldn鈥檛 have to travel outside of Pittsburgh, and because the amount he got paid was basically what it cost to put his son through college. It was basically his retirement gig.
