@DGI I have to say that the worst form of slavery is actual slavery, where people are owned, forced to work, raped, separated from their children, etc.
The "happy morons" Varoufakis talks about may be morons, but they're also happy. Actually slavery is not a happy state.
@bodhipaksa @DGI are you sure this is a bona fide Varoufakis quote? He has reported that there are multiple fake accounts purporting to be him - so many that he cannot feasibly track and request their cancellation.
I'm gonna hafta disagree with this one. If it's an arrangement that is entered into voluntarily and can be left, I'm gonna call that not slavery.
I think the worst slavery is the kind where you are forced, through the threat and fact of violence, to perform labor against your will for no compensation.
I'd say that's the one to focus your efforts on combatting.
