Merry Crimbo all! My wife decided to feed my Cory Doctorow/ @pluralistic addiction and gave me a couple of his older works. I know what I'm going to be doing for the next few weeks! #merry #Crimbo #seasonsgreetings

Two paperback books by Cory Doctorow side be side on my desk: on the left, In Real Life, a graphical novel illustrated by Jen Wang, and on the right, Makers. IRL's cover depicts two images of a teenage girl, one in a sweatshirt with long, flowing brown hair, and a laptop, the other with purple/pink hair wrapping scale armour with a fancy sword. Makers' cover depicts 11 desperate objects in a scale model parts style matrix, along with the title, as detachable items, in dull blue plastic.

@cybervegan @pluralistic
Makers is such a weird one.. I didn't enjoy reading it, but various aspects and scenes and ideas lodged deep in my brain and stayed.
