Christian fundamentalists: We believe Jews will all go to Hell, but we need some Jews to live in Israel in order to fulfill our prophecy.
This administration: We believe Jews aren't human, but we need some Jews to live in Israel to keep the Muslims down, and also to give us a pretext for punishing our political opponents at home.
The similarity between these viewpoints is not coincidental.
