@inquiline @inquiline Haven't done it as an adult, but I got it for the kids one year to spare them the shot, and the snotty side effects were miserable enough that we went straight back to shots the next year. I remember hearing that the attenuated virus carried some transmission risk, but I don't think they gave us much of an idea of how likely that was.

i guess the risk to anyone immune compromised would be about the same even if i weren't symptomatic, but it's also hard to imagine that sneezing everywhere isn't somewhat worse 🤧

will go back to getting jabbed in the future, but had wanted to try this for a few reasons

also, love too be an academic, as soon as we go on "break" we do medical things (i didn't want to risk being slowed down by this in active semester. my colleague got wisdom teeth out when classes ended)
