@neil thanks for putting this together! I finally got around to reading it today. Lots of good stuff here.
FYI, there are a few broken links - all just extra characters tacked on to the end (semicolons and closed parentheses). I only bring it up because blog posts have a longer lifespan than ephemeral toots.
Also, in accordance with the laws of the universe, one of the broken links is for linkchecker 😅
