A somewhat unexpected Elizabethan style public house in the East End of Glasgow. Built in 1905 on Glasgow Road in the Garrowhill area of the city, it was designed by MacWhannel and Rogerson for the publican Gilbert Stewart. It was originally known as Gilbert Stewart’s Vaults.
