It's a myth of taking from the rich, who are oppressors, and giving back to those they oppress.
Beware anyone whose Englishness goes against a myth you feel, you recognised as a child, as I did was good and true.
What Englishman can deny the rightness of Robin Hood? Then be English, don't deny it now, when Englishness is under threat from opportunists backed by the rich. Who opposed and stole from everyone else.
