When a community organizes and politicians actually listen, the outcome can be positive, as in this case. Kudos to Guelph city councillors for reconsidering a bad budget decision.

'There's a lot of things that I didn't think of until I saw it.’ Coun. Phil Allt said this would be like Christmas coming early for some in the community. 'We all understand that this was a safety issue that regrettably became a challenge at budget time. It takes a lot to take a step back and do what you did. And I know that many, many, many people in Guelph appreciate this,’ he said.
