@urlyman I was putting together a response to a Law Commission enquiry into community energy co-ops (the FCA thinks the only possible co-op is a shop). To a question on our co-op’s purpose, I wrote “saving what remains of life on earth”. Think about it. I agree about degrowth though.

…fact is, pursuing notions of profit attached to monetary tokens which externalise the ecology they sit within *is the self-terminating error*.
But power is entirely disinterested in addressing that
