The State of Reproductive Rights in Zimbabwe (rough summary): Around 22–23% of pregnancies in Zimbabwe occur among adolescents. About 40% of pregnancies are unintended, while modern contraceptive use sits at roughly 48%, with unmet need highest among young, unmarried and rural women. Maternal mortality remains extremely high, estimated between 358 and 651 deaths per 100,000 live births, with unsafe abortion contributing significantly.
