The State of Reproductive Rights in Zimbabwe (rough summary):
Around 22–23% of pregnancies in Zimbabwe occur among adolescents. About 40% of pregnancies are unintended, while modern contraceptive use sits at roughly 48%, with unmet need highest among young, unmarried and rural women. Maternal mortality remains extremely high, estimated between 358 and 651 deaths per 100,000 live births, with unsafe abortion contributing significantly. At the same time, 1 in 3 women has experienced physical violence and about 1 in 4 has experienced sexual violence, much of it unreported.
