I'm looking for good resources to learn about the radicals in #Japanese kanji. I.e., not whole kanji, but rather the component parts.

I don't want to memorize kanji. I don't want silly mnemonic devices. I don't want to look up kanji by radicals. I want to learn about the history, function, sound & evolution of radicals.

Can anyone recommend books, websites, apps, anything?

I know they exist but they're hard to find via search engines.

Thank you for recommendations. 1/2
