I've had it with #Google #Scholar. Currently trying to do a little bit of automated bibliometrics, and there's a ton of Scholar parsers on Github in various states of brokenness, sometimes with fully integrated proxy support and Selenium backend and whatnot so it doesn't get banhammered...

Yeah nah, I'm just going with OpenAlex now which
a) has a proper API,
b) actually knows what a DOI is, and
c) has much higher-quality data than GS.

@floe I've had my OpenAlex profile linked on my publications page for I think about a year: https://fietkau.science/publications

Their data on me isn't all that complete, and as usual I had to disclaim publications by the Julian Fietkau from Berlin that they had merged into my profile. The API is indeed nice though.

What are you doing with it? Citation counting? I'm thinking about redesigning my science landing page (https://fietkau.science) and wondering if I should have any quantitative metrics on there.
