From what I’ve seen, Schleswig-Holstein is indeed moving toward open source, which is great news! But as you pointed out, many other states and municipalities are still heavily reliant on Microsoft—and now even Palantir (yikes!).
I only translated that article about the European Digital Infrastructure Consortium ( #EDIC) and didn’t dig much deeper, so I’m not entirely sure whether the Federal Republic of Germany as a whole is officially part of it yet. @rriemann might have more insights—maybe they can clarify?
Does anyone else have updates on Germany’s open-source transition? It feels like such a mixed bag right now—some places are leading the way, while others are doubling down on proprietary software.
