Forty-four-year-old grandfather Philip Rivers was happy coaching his son's high school team when he got the call asking if he'd like to play for the Indianapolis Colts. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2025/12/11/more-sports/rivers-nfl-return-colts/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=mastodon #moresports #philiprivers #indianapoliscolts #nfl

@reverendstanley - Rivers is only eclipsed by Tony Romo for the most spectacular 4th quarter meltdowns to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. He may have completed a lot of passes but his pick, fumble and sack numbers in 4th quarters has to be huge. The bitch, never the bride. Upheld the Chargers longtime commitment to losing. Ole Philbilly Rivers. Only thing he was successful at was chirping to the refs after getting blasted by another sack or another soul crushing 4th quarter pick 6.
