I am begging you to stop calling your rambling 2-hour conversation a "deep dive." It is not a deep dive. It is snorkeling in the shit-infused shallow end of the Dunning-Kruger pool while shouting about supplements.

Oh god, I thought instantly of sitting in terrible tech industry all-hands meetings, where the CEO would say something that rhymed, so we were expected to just accept it as true, just like we were supposed to listen closely when he said, "Let's double-click on that."

@Daojoan I explicitly cited a paper that directly contradicted my thesis, and spent three pages analyzing their argument and authorities before I got to explaining where I thought (and still think) they had erred, which is more space than any other source in my literature review. I may still be stuck in the shallow end of the knowledge pool, but I at least dipped my toes deep enough to know experts differ on things.
I'm going to make an exception specifically for Michael Hobbes and Maintenance Phase, because he will come to the conversation having read five books and some scientific papers, so when he shouts about supplements, he knows what he's talking about.
