#Selfhosted and #Selfhosting people, what your current go-to for web-based docker container management? I've been using #dockge and I like it, but it seems nothing much is happening there (last commit 8 months ago). I tried Arcane, but... it's a bit... arcane, I liked dockge's simplicity more. #portainer seems to have gone enterprise and is likely to get more "enshittified" over time. So what do you all use?

@zef haven't tried myself, but I would try to get rootless podman up and running and enhance it with a web ui to control it via web.

Maybe somehow like this example with cockpit: https://blog.while-true-do.io/podman-web-ui-via-cockpit/

Podman - Web UI (via Cockpit)

Podman is the rootless drop-in replacement for Docker, but how do you administer Podman containers, images and more with the browser? Let's check out Cockpit and Podman application for it.

@zef I'm still on portainer, just added a few monitoring services for the functions I'm missing. That said, following this thread closely

@falkheiland this is cool, seems similar to @yunohost but probably a bit too high level to me. I don't think I need everything solved to the app store level.
