Chemical industry lobbyists have long pushed the government to adopt a less stringent approach to gauging the cancer risk from chemicals, one that would help ease regulations on companies that make or use them.

They finally got their wish.

@ProPublica Is it me, or did 3M leave more of an industrial mess than just the PFAS? I used to think the company deserved the guillotine until I realizedit would just result in a whole lot more little m's. (They did eventually get rid of the CEO, but another one grew back.)

I used to live near a part of south Louisiana called Cancer Alley because of all the people who developed cancer because of the chemicals dumped into the environment by corporations in the area.

Looks like the entire USA will soon become Cancer Alley.
