@neil What a messy handover... for now I've moved to the nel0x version that's on GitHub given their involvement with the publishing of SyncThing to the GP Store, but hopefully both segments of the project can come together and merge their efforts once we know researchxxl is a trustable maintainer.
@neil person with AI-generated avatar, who joined GitHub all of three weeks ago, appears to be trying to step up to lead a popular software project and pull in users of a previous (now defunct?) instance?
I haven't finished reading the comments and I don't have a horse in the race as a non-user of Syncthing anymore, but this is Jia Tan all over again to me.
@neil I found RoundSync easier to understand and set up, but I am not expert and only need to transfer files between my phone and PC.
@neil Thanks for the info. I just jumped ship to the https://github.com/nel0x/syncthing-android release because something smells sketchy
There seems to be a considerable amount of speculation, and some intemperate language in communications around the topic, which I am sure will help get to a speedy and sensible resolution.
Yeah I use Syncthing on Android too and have been following this wondering just like everyone else what is actually going on and is it safe ? Hopefully all will become clear shortly ?
@neil "let's chase off these new maintainers just like we did the previous one"
