We’re used to the pre-dawn “get your ass out here” brays from the donkeys. More concerning is the rare morning when there’s only an eerie silence.
Invariably it means they have managed to do something “naughty” and they don’t want to call any attention to it. They broke into something, escaped containment or dismantled something.
We never punish or scold them, so it cracks me up that they have this idea of being ”bad” and then get all conspiratorial about hiding their crimes. 🤫🤐
