hm, wasn't expecting this one to do numbers. fwiw despite my complaining tone above i understand the ways in which this feature might be difficult, and i really appreciate the hard work people throughout the ecosystem do to make fedi better, and i think it's had a pretty good year in that regard.
and also i stand by peoples' freedom to do with their own posts what they like; i'm only annoyed here at how it mostly-unintentionally affects other peoples' conversations.
