While the notion of student belonging & mental welfare is often invoked, the English school system, due to the frequent use of 'high-stakes' testing actually is very stressful for pupils:

Fear of failure 'can lead to reduced academic performance. It’s also linked with missed opportunities for learning, lower emotional wellbeing & higher levels of stress, burnout & depression'!

English school are disempowering & damaging our young.
