Green hydrogen rabbit hole:

When last I looked into this a couple of years ago, I took as my reference point Professor Julian Allwood of @ukfires saying in 2022:

“Hydrogen has taken over as the current seductive buzzword, and the government’s Net Zero strategy published just a few months ago mentioned the word ‘hydrogen’ 501 times in 360 pages of text, even though as we stand there is not a single kilogramme of hydrogen being produced in the UK with zero emissions”

@urlyman @ukfires it’s also unbelievably volatile and dangerous. Invisible and has no smell.
And much more prone to leaking than gas .

It’s a nightmare and is not going to help the green transition.
