Later tonight, I’m going to start posting my reflections on this weekend just gone’s #RisingTide blockade of #Newcastle coal port, but here’s a good starting point… I was on the protest site for all of five minutes before I did this interview with Newcastle Herald. Lovely journalist and photographer to chat with.

@emmadavidson
Look forward ti reading your reflections.
Nice interview! Sharing this part: "Climate change is causing anxiety in young people," she said. "It's causing grief in older people as they realise that the world they leave to the next generation is not the same as the one they grew up in."
"We can see that climate change is happening. I knew from a very early age that this stuff was happening. You can't not accept reality when you have been in it."
"But we can't wait for every single person in this country to be personally impacted by a natural disaster to make the change."
"If the people that we elect to be leaders are not doing it, then we'll do it ourselves."
🙏🏻 for being there. 😁

@emmadavidson the title alone earwormed me with this Cable Ties classic: Hope

🎶 A baby boomer's lullaby kept floating through the screen on channel 9
I wouldn't be tuned in if I wasn't home in Bendigo
My uncle Pete, he's complaining about the greenies
He says that they've gone too far
I say Pete, they don't go far enough 🎶
