Pulled together a list of solutions ranked by realism, starting with the easiest wins and moving toward harder but high‑impact ideas in response to scale on fedi cf. https://supervolcano.angryshark.eu/@AdaraAstin/115642121781154501 t

🧵 1of3 Easy Wins
Most realistic to implement right now:
- Normalize transparency → share lived experiences openly, repetition builds norms fast (@KrajciTom already started the contribution)

- Positive reinforcement → thank men who respect boundaries, spotlight good behaviour (@AdaraAstin has done this)

- Educational threads → break down “dirty talk vs. misogyny” with clear examples (I want to do this, inviting bi men & women to help me)

- Consent culture campaigns → memes + hashtags: “No is a full sentence”

- Cross‑community voices → include bi, queer, and women’s perspectives to broaden reach

🧵2of3 — Mid‑Level Success
Takes more effort but achievable:
- Role model amplification → elevate healthy figures (Keanu, Mr. Rogers, Tennant)

- Peer accountability → men screen each other’s messages; reflection sparks change

- Conversation anchors → pin threads, create collections, circulate across instances

- IRL + online bridge → panels, workshops, meetups that mirror Fediverse discourse (I can bring this topic up at my #FediCollective IRL Fediverse Club coffee chats monthly for more solutions/suggestions)

Harder but High Impact
Challenging but transformative if scaled:
- Perspective swaps → avatar/gender/race identity experiments to reveal treatment differences

- Federated moderation → instances adopt codes of conduct emphasizing consent/respect

- Scaling by repetition → keep discourse alive; every retelling educates new audiences

🧵 3of3 — Summary/ TL;DR
Solutions ranked by realism (easy → hard):
- Easy wins: share experiences, thank respectful men, teach “dirty talk vs. misogyny,” push consent memes, include bi/queer voices

- Mid‑level: amplify role models, peer accountability, pin/circulate threads, bridge online + IRL

- Harder lifts: avatar/gender swaps, federated moderation codes, keep repeating discourse

👉Share our stories, amplify good role models, hold peers accountable. Culture shifts when we keep showing up.

This ranking (easy → hard) helps us focus energy where success is most realistic, while still aiming for systemic change.

The Fediverse thrives on community norms, not corporate algorithms — so scaling respect and consent is about culture itself.

Every post adds weight. Let’s scale respect + consent together.
