@ricci @mackuba.eu another factor here is location: we don't have many reputable large PDS deployments that aren't US based. I'll probably move from a Bluesky PBC PDS to EuroSky once I'm confident their infrastructure works and is stable. But I don't want to maintain my own servers for this, nor do I want to use $pdsHostedOnSomeonesPi

Maybe I'd feel better with backups but idk.
