In a few days the parts for my new computer will arrive. I've been running #linux ( #debian and #ubuntu) on my servers and laptops for 20 years, but this'll be the first time I've had it on my primary desktop.

My main concern is game compatibility. I have a Steam Deck, and most stuff runs just fine, but I'm a bit leery of going for one of the fashionable "gamer" distros ( #bazzite et al). I'm thinking of starting with Mint and testing the waters.

Any advice?
