“'Discussion' is clearer, more intuitive language, and makes it easier to explain how Loomio works without the awkwardness of the word 'thread'. For example, without this change, the previous paragraph would have read: Loomio works best when you start with a thread."

I think these are good changes. I haven't been using Loomio as much since I started doing most of my online activity on mobile devices. Maybe it's time to get back into it.

@strypey We've done soooo much development over the last year, and have just as much lined up next year.

I was the one who changed Discussion to Thread years ago, and it's taken me a while to realise that was a mistake - but now I've just found myself tripping over it while trying to make things simple, so it's time to change.

Great stuff. I have been noticing the performance and consistency of the app improving a lot between uses. A few years ago it became very slow on the ancient devices I use, resulting in a lot of race conditions bugs (a phrase I learned from you!), making it very frustrating to use. The UX is a lot smoother these days, on those same devices.

Any chance of a native Loomio app in F-Droid?

by native, do you mean: written in pure assembly for your specific cpu and video chip?

lol jk. We're doing web push notifications and installable on homescreen.

@strypey @robguthrie i kind of like pol.is approach where there is just 'issue' and comments. no threading. they didn't want to be involved in moderating etc so you just respond to the OP and tag whether you agree or disagree with other comments.

the unique aspect to their method is you can extract tribes from the agreement vectors to see when there is some irreconcilable difference in your community.
