*Obviously the best way of distributing this food is to give it all to the people who are already full and don't need it.
They will hopefully then pass it to the hungriest people and everyone will be better off.

-Why not feed the hungry, directly?

Doesn't make sense right?
That, with money instead of food, is our dominant economic model and it also makes no sense at all.

@pezmico that was what I was thinking during the covid lockdowns where the govt passed all the money to employers who were then supposed to dole it out to the employees, instead of just giving money to people directly. Is it an NZ thing to do it that way?
