Cargo. Journal for Cultural and Social Anthropology (ISSN online 2450-3452) is a peer-reviewed full open-access journal published by the University of Pardubice, the University of Hradec Kralové and the Czech Association for Social Anthropology (CASA). The Journal focuses on the theory-and-practice of ethnographic research and critical discussion of anthropological theory and knowledge. The journal publishes academic articles, interviews with anthropologists, and texts debating methods of teaching anthropology, short research reports and book reviews.

Ethnographies of Learning and Teaching Across Different Cultural Contexts

We are seeking contributions to a special issue of Cargo. Journal for Cultural and Social Anthropology focused on contemporary ethnographic research of learning and teaching across different cultural contexts. Situated at the intersection of education and anthropology, this special issue invites authors to examine the social discourses that shape contemporary educational practices, theories and policies. We welcome a wide range of submissions from both anthropologists and educational researchers engaging with diverse educational contexts (both formal and informal). Articles must be written in the English language and can range from full-length empirical research studies and theoretical contributions (5,000 - 8,000 words) to shorter papers featuring reflections or interviews (2,000 - 4,000 words).
