Strypey

Enter Sandman by Metallica was released in 1991. It wasn't on their first album, they'd already released 4 records in the 1980s. But the self-titled 'black album' was the first album to get mainstream attention, so it was the first a teenage Strypey had heard of them, and Sandman was the breakthrough single.

I say all this as context for a fact that hit me like a ton of bricks just now; Enter Sandman is 34 years old. But I still think of it as recent music. #FuckImOld!

@strypey Meanwhile the black album is when my metalhead friends decided Metallica had sold out. Or something. They moved on, anyways.
