@wdlindsy Our roof installation was delayed -- thankfully, only by a day -- due to (legal but Hispanic) workers staying home because of the terrorICE raids here in #DurhamNC. (fwiw)

@woozle I've heard similar reports from people living in North Carolina. And they're totally believable, since in my area (Little Rock), I've seen for some years now that the people doing repair work on roofs and rebuilding of roofs are ALWAYS groups of men from Mexico and Latin America. Just this past week, dangerous, hard roof work was done on a steep roof of a house across the street from me: all workers were clearly from immigrant backgrounds.
