Ian Bremmer did the numbers, and this graph shows how much the US and Europe supports Ukraine.

In 2025, European countries will contribute close to 50 billion euro.

The US will contribute less than 1 percent of that, and it would likely have been $0 if Trump had been able to stop the January deliveries which Biden had secured.

The great American people is led by a coward.

@randahl Thank you for the figures. Two remarks:
(1) It is not the American people who are being led by this coward, but only the unfortunate people of the USA. Nowaday we should have in mind, that America ist much larger than the United States!
(2) I think Mr Trump is less of a coward and more afraid of Mr Putin. Probably with good reason.

@randahl

This is how you know the US is not currently a democracy: American voters overwhelmingly support Ukraine but the Trump regime doesn't give a fuck what we want. And the cowards in the Republican party can't stand up for the interests of their constituents or our country.

@randahl traitor. Trump is a traitor.

Okay. A coward, too. But he’d be happy to commit our resources to something that served him in some way.

@randahl

This needs to be read by all the people hand wringing because the 🍊 💩 is threatening to stop supporting #Ukraine.

HE ALREADY DID!!!

The EU is stepping up, and Ukraine is already leveraging the US approval to use deep-strike weapons like #ATACMS to hit targets on Russian soil. Nothing the US is doing otherwise is helping anymore.

A coward or a puppet?
Who wrote Trump's latest Peace plan, which seems nearly identical to previous unworkable Russian demands?

@randahl and if the US is contributing so little then it has no right to make demands that Ukraine accepts any capitulation to Putin that trump may want. Come on Zelenski, tell trump where he can stick his 'peace deal'

The issue is not that Europe can keep the war going. We can. But Zelensky is running out of infantry.
