I did some volunteer path surveys for the Ramblers and Carmarthenshire Council today. Half were impassable, which is a shame, but they’ll be reported now. I also ended up walking twice as far as I had to backtrack several times. However, a walk is a walk and it was a lovely bright and crisp day for it. Oh and I met a friendly cat.

Most of my path pics are of stiles, gates and obstructions so here’s the Afon Teifi, with Ceredigion on the left and Carmarthenshire on the right.

#Cymru #walking

Photo taken from a bridge over the river Teifi with a view upstream. Trees overhang the banks, many leafless but an oak on the right is turning red-gold. A rhododendron in the foreground the only green. The left bank is dark and rocky, a flat plateau behind still a little white with thawing snow. A glimpse of flat grey-white sky through the canopy of trees.
