The power of big tech:

Step 1️⃣ : Make sure that simple features like spell check or autocorrection are deliberately placed under the same smart functions category as AI features and AI model training…even when that’s not actually necessary.

Step 2️⃣: Then start lobbying to remove the hassle of the European opt-in/opt-out rules, so that these features can simply be enabled by default. Call it an “ #Omnibus” approach and sell it as: “This is how Europe stays competitive.”

@wlaatje ANY bill with "omnibus" in its name is a confession of laziness on the part of legislators. Their job is to legislate each issue separately.
