Blaming “the internet” hides the real problem. it’s not “the internet” doing this. The internet — the actual internet — is a set of mostly #4opens protocols, neutral, simple, robust, built for sharing and connecting. What’s keeping people hooked is the #dotcons: the corporate silos, the addictive platforms, the thin veneer of #techshit smeared over the top of an otherwise elegant #KISS architecture.

It’s the platforms, not the pipes.
