@tante I'm looking for a guide or some help to migrate projects to Codeberg!
@qgustavor if it's just about the code just create a Codeberg account, create your project there and and push your repository to codeberg
@tante I want to migrate my GitHub projects, but not just the git data, AFAIK I will need to take care of CI, issues, discussions documentation hosting... the more of that that can be automated, the better. I really hope it's that easy, although I still do not have free time to do that.
@tante Moved all my stuff to Codeberg a month or two ago.
@tante and all "open" thing we ask to move just say no and downplay the problem.
@tante I'm solo, so I use `git init --bare` in a Nextcloud shared folder for redundancy. Then `git remote add origin <nextcloud repo path>` It's great for personal projects. But your github consistency timeline suffers for employer marketing credibility.
@tante That also works if you replace GitHub with AI.
@tante what is the recommended alternative?
Codeberg is obviously only for public, open source stuff?
@janl Just a general thought.
@tante@tldr.nettime.org GitHub is evil and avoid using it as much as possible.
