Exxon Mobil's overall global earnings grew significantly at an average annual rate of 28.6% over the last five years; however, their UK operations have faced significant challenges, culminating in the planned closure of the Fife Ethylene Plant in Scotland in February 2026

As part of the US-UK trade deal, the UK now buys cheaper Ethylene from Trump's America.
