#TipOfTheDay: when you are mounting a motor, take apart an old, ideally burned out, motor of the same type to use as a drilling template. You haven’t got a blown up motor? I’ll wait.

A disassembled stepper motor; the motor is a beveled cube, and consists of two aluminium end plates and an iron/copper body. Either of the end plates makes a handy drilling template for the mounting screw holes.
